This study investigated the development of Mining Engineering skills through Ethnomathematics activities in Kogi-central of Kogi state. The study has two research questions. The population is all the 24,517 senior secondary school students in Kogi state, while the sample was 150 senior secondary school students which were selected using multi-stage sampling technique from all the five (5) local government area (30 from each LGA) of Kogi-central of Kogi state. Descriptive research techniques were used for the study; two instruments were used for data collection. The instruments were validated and reliability coefficient determined. Data were analysed using mean and standard deviation. The findings of the study reveal that students taught mathematics using ethnomathematics developed relevant mining Engineering skills such as identification of available minerals resources in Kogi state and Teamwork skills. Hence it was recommended that mathematics teachers should be trained on the utilization of ethnomathematics in senior secondary schools to be able to catch the mining engineers young from secondary schools.
