Literature Review on the Coupling Coordination between "Social-Ecological" Resilience and Human Well-Being in Watershed Systems

Abstract

The coupling coordination between social-ecological resilience and human well-being is vital for watershed ecological protection and livelihood improvement. Based on the PRISMA framework, this paper systematically reviews core literature from 2020 to 2026. Results show that an “evaluation-coupling-spatial-driving” analytical framework has been established, and distinct coupling patterns exist between southern river-lake watersheds and northern water-deficient watersheds. However, inconsistencies in indicators, insufficient multi-scale analysis, and weak theory-practice integration remain as major limitations. Future research should strengthen comparative studies, scale optimization, technical integration and policy application.
